- Green Gables Heritage Place (Cavendish, Parks Canada) and the Anne of Green Gables Museum (Silver Bush, Park Corner) are two different houses with separate tickets.
- Anne Shirley was not a real person, and Montgomery did not live at Green Gables; she called it 'practically imaginary'.
- Avonlea Village in Cavendish is a shopping and dining village, not a Montgomery heritage site.
